Traveling With Sex Toys During Christmas

Holiday’s and Sex Toys - The Good, The Bad, and The Funny
We’ve been asked many times, “is it okay to gift my friend a vibrator?” Or “Should I travel with a vibrator?” And the answer to these questions are always; YES! But you have to be sure to get the entire situation right. So babe, to shed some light on this topic, here are some of our favourite and fun stories from our customers (and our staff, shhhhh…) have shared from having some sex toys around the holidays:
1. “I decided to give my boyfriend a sex toy that both of us could use, to, you know, spice up our sex life. We had talked about getting one many times before and so I decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a vibrator. On Christmas day he opened all his gifts, the last being the vibrator. When he saw it, he didn’t say anything. At first I thought it was because he hated it, but then he took my hand and the vibrator, walked into the bedroom and told me to get undressed. It was the best sex we’ve ever had! I’m so happy I bought it!” - Ashley W
2. “My best friend broke up with her boyfriend a few months before christmas. I knew she was a little sad, and missing the company of someone else. I thought it would be a great idea to buy her a vibrator, to make her feel more confident and to give her some me time. I mean, after all, I love mine! I went over to her house so we could exchange gifts and right when she opened it I knew I had made a mistake. She thought it was a joke and didn’t take it seriously and was pretty disappointed in the gift. Looking back, we had never talked about sex toys or sex, so I could see how she mistook my gift. Next time I plan on giving anyone a sex toy, I’m going to be sure to bring it up in conversation and see how they feel before.” - Meagan T
3. “If you’re ever traveling with a vibrator, try to at least hide it in your suitcase! I didn’t think I would get stopped for having one in my carry on, so I in no way tried to hide it or keep it out of sight. Then, when going through security with my family, I was pulled to the side as security found something “suspicious” in my bag. Low and behold they pull out my vibrator for the entire airport and my family to see. The worst part? It didn’t have one of those travel locks so it suddenly just turned on and started going. Safe to say I was incredibly embarrassed and my mom and sister still make fun of me for it today.” - Nikki K
4. “I can’t believe this happened! My boyfriend and I were going on vacation with his family for the holidays and of course we brought my vibrator. But I never expected to be in the room right beside his family! I was really nervous to use the vibrator, but my boyfriend insisted and so one night we started using it and fooling around. In the heat of the moment we forgot to turn it off and put it to the side, so during midsex it fell off the bed, loudly vibrating across the floor. It was so LOUD! All I could hear was his dad in the next room saying “What’s going on? Is everything okay in there?” I’m sure they pretended to not know what they were hearing and never brought it up throughout the trip, but I was mortified. Unless you’re far away from your boyfriend’s parents room on a trip, do not use a vibrator!”

Traveling with a Vibrator? Should I or Shouldn’t I?
Whether you're traveling with your family, friends, boyfriend, etc. there’s a possibility you may want to bring your favourite toy along. But, we must say, If you’re traveling with a significant other and his or her family, you’ll want to first speak to your partner about it. While you may be comfortable using it in a secluded room, it’s important to make sure your partner is as well, especially if it’s in close quarters with his family! Once he gives you the “a-okay” then you can bring it. You’ll also want to know sleeping arrangements beforehand. You want to ensure no weird, awkward, or inappropriate moments can occur.
If you do decide to travel with your toy, you’ll want to ensure you bring one that’s easy to travel with, hide in your suitcase, and is quiet while in use. Our Wild Rabbit 2 is the perfect option! It’s super bendable, so it’s easy to flex around and hide in your suitcase (just put it in some sweaters or in a bag) and Wild Rabbit 2 is quiet in operation. So you can rest assured that no one will hear or see it during your trip! It’s the perfect situation and one that our friend Laura could have used while traveling with her boyfriend. Learn from her hunny, and don’t make the same mistake of traveling or using an incredibly loud vibrator!

Sex Toys and The Holidays...
They really go hand in hand! Now we know it may seem weird at first, but traveling with your favourite toy or giving the gift of a vibrator to someone who you know will enjoy it really isn’t awkward. It’s empowering and it should be done more often!
But, in saying that babe, be sure to learn from the stories above! We’ve had some awkward moments with our vibrator and the holidays (hey, everyone does), but all we can say is that if you're giving a gift, be sure it’s the right person, place and setting. And if you’re traveling with a vibrator - make sure it’s well hidden in your suitcase, has a travel lock (hello, no one wants their vibrator randomly turning on at any point… awkward!) and don’t use it if you're sharing a wall with yours or your boyfriend's parents! Will definitely make for a way less awkward trip. In the meantime, Happy Holiday’s babes!
